Finasteride, a medication primarily known by its brand name Propecia, has gained attention for its role in treating hair loss and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. Finasteride Uses

It is FDA-approved for two main purposes:

Androgenetic alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness)

It helps slow hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth in men experiencing male pattern baldness. Dr Nagwani Mindil – F is a combination of Minoxidil 5% and Finasteride 0.1%. It aids in treating androgenetic alopecia and improves hair growth and hair quality.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

For men with an enlarged prostate, finasteride can alleviate urinary symptoms, improving quality of life.


For hair loss, the typical dose is 1 mg daily. It is very clear to understand that a big difference between dose use in hair fall treatment and BPH so one can use it with consultation of doctor. Side Effects
