Surgeons are devoted exclusively to the surgical care of children with birth defects and acquired illnesses. Working closely with referring primary care pediatricians and family physicians as well pediatric specialists, pediatric surgeons treat a wide variety of clinical problems in neonatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, non-cardiac thoracic surgery, and several other specialty areas.Our pediatric surgeons have extensive experience with the most complex of surgical procedures treating congenital and acquired gastrointestinal and thoracic disorders in children.

New technologies for minimally invasive laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery for infants and children are practiced routinely.

Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
The CALCUTTA COSMO AID (CLINIC) Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery provides consultations and reconstructive options for acquired and congenital deformities of the face, the head and neck, the torso, the breast and abdomen, the upper extremity and the lower extremity. Our goal is to restore both form and function, giving our patients an aesthetic result that erases the scars left by illness, trauma, and aging.

At CALCUTTA COSMO AID (CLINIC), plastic surgery is divided into subspecialties:

  • Aesthetic Surgery: Common procedures include facelift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction.
  • Hair Transplantation: Hair transplantation done here as a day care procedure, we do FUT as well as FUE. We have very good and cooperative team to work smoothly as homly manner.
  • Breast Reconstruction: Traditional reconstruction utilizes tissue expanders and breast implants. Microvascular free-flap reconstruction uses tissue harvested from the abdomen or other locations in order to recreate the absent breast.
  • Craniofacial Surgery: Facial clefts, and absence of the ear or nose. CALCUTTA COSMO AID (CLINIC) has a team-approach to the management of craniofacial cases, bringing in specialists from pediatrics, orthodontics, dentistry, speech pathology, neurosurgery, and otolaryngology.
  • General Reconstruction: wound healing, scar revision, and the surgical correction of post-traumatic or post-surgical deformities appearing anywhere on the body.
  • Hand Surgery: focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of hand injuries and pathological disorders affecting the hand. The Hand Service is a joint collaboration between the CALCUTTA COSMO AID (CLINIC) Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Arthroscopic surgery
Arthroscopic surgery is an operative technique of repairing damaged structures in the joint through key holes and without formal incision. Day care procedure

There are two distinct patterns of knee problems. In the younger age group it is common to have mechanical problems e.g meniscus (cushion) injury, ligament tear, whereas in the older age group it is often degenerative conition e.g. Osteoarthritis.
